Youth Mental Health - MHFA for Adults Who Interact With Youth
Developed by the Mental Health Commission of Canada, the 14-hr course is aimed at adults who are looking to support and help youth manage mental health issues.
Who Should Take This Class
Anyone who wants to learn more about supporting youth deal with mental health can take the class. The pre-condition is that such a person must be 18 years of age or older. The certification is especially helpful for teachers, school administrators, educational support workers, principals, camp counselors, and coaches.
What Will You Learn
The course will help you learn how to recognize the signs of mental health disorders or troubles of youth. You’ll learn how to have effective conversations with young people about mental illness and aid them in healing. Training is offered on a wide range of topics.
