This 14-hr course, developed by the Mental Health Commission of Canada, is aimed at Adults who are looking to support Youth with mental health issues.
Anyone 18 years of age, or older, who wants to learn more about supporting Youth mental health. This certification is especially helpful for teachers, school administrators, educational support workers, principals, camp counsellors and coaches.
You will learn how to recognize the signs of a youth mental health disorder and how to have effective conversations with young people about mental heal. Training topics includes Anxiety, Depression, Substance Use, Trauma, Self-Harm, Eating Disorders and Psychosis.
Crisis intervention for Overdose, Suicide also discussed.
